Nancy Emsley, Charlie Boulais, Dr. Christine Bacon and Mark Carscallen in the WKQA studios after a very engaging conversation on the life of widowhood on the Breakfast with Bacon show.
When we marry we all want the fairy tale but all fairy tales must come to an end. When we pledge at the altar "until death do we part" we never know who will be the one parting and who will be the one left behind. Widowhood isn't easy but to avoid the pain would have meant missing out on a lifetime of love, memories and lessons learned from the one whose flesh eventually became your own. Listen in to this beautiful testament to marriage by three individuals who loved until the end...and would do it all over again.

Jeff Kelleher, the deceased spouse of today's guest A.J. was given such a choice and in both cases he chose the latter.  Listen to this incredibly inspirational story as A.J. recounts their sojourn from diagnosis, through the God-blessed seven year journey until Jeff's reward, and  her understanding of her life's purpose through it all. You will soon understand how, in the end, the ALS never won. Jeff did...and so did Jesus.
